HLTINF006 Apply basic principles and practices of infection prevention and control describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to apply basic infection prevention and control principles in work settings.
This Learner Guide describes how to identify the role of infection prevention and control in a work setting. It then explains how to follow standard, transmission-based precautions for infection prevention and control. Lastly, the material outlines how to respond to potential and actual exposure to infection risks within the scope of own role.
