CHCAGE008 Implement falls prevention strategies describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to work in partnership with the person and their family, carer or others identified by the person to implement strategies to minimise the risk of falls, according to an individualised plan.
This Learner Guide describes how to identify the person’s risk factors and determine strategies to prevent falls. The content then explains how to implement fall prevention strategies that are consistent with the person’s individual requirements. This includes supporting the person’s use of assistive technology. Lastly, it details how to monitor these strategies in collaboration with the person and their family, carer or others identified by the person.
