This Learner Guide covers the essentials of emotional intelligence. It shows the learner how to prepare to build emotional intelligence by developing evaluation criteria for assessing emotional strengths and weaknesses and identifying potential stress factors in the workplace. It then describes techniques for applying emotional intelligence and building trust in dealing with others. It also shows how self-management and social awareness help others express their own thoughts in both formal and informal contexts.
