This Learner Guide explains how to observe and interact with children using an appropriate observation technique as well as how to consult secondary sources and collaborate with others to gather further information. Then it describes how to record such information and discuss it with others without bias and negative labelling. Next, it covers how to analyse and interpret the various sources of information. Finally, the material explains how to use both the gathered information and personal reflection to contribute to curriculum planning.
