JobTrainer supports more than 300,000 Australians

The $2B JobTrainer program has hit another significant milestone, exceeding its initial course commitment with more than 300,000 enrolments across the country. The Morrison Government doubled down on its JobTrainer program in the Federal Budget, expanding it to fund 463,000 course placements.

The expanded JobTrainer is open to anyone looking to develop skills like aged care, disability care, childcare and digital skills with 163,000 spots ready to be taken up.

The latest NCVER report found apprentice and trainee numbers increasing in 2021 by 27.5%. Commencements over the last 12 months are up 59.5%. Completion rates are up by more than 21%, compared to the same period last year.
