Aspire Insights: June 2024

02 July 2024 09:05

June was another productive and fast-paced month at Aspire, echoing the dynamism the Vocational Education & Training (VET) sector continues to experience in the midst of VET reform. We’ve been involved in a number of national initiatives, including scoping out work to encourage Reef Resilience in the Great Barrier Reef – and we’re excited to continue championing skills development in an increasingly dynamic and digital educational space.

As a not-for-profit organisation, our Aspire Foundation was proud to commence works with one of our recent grant recipients, Brain Injury Matters, to help support a campaign raising awareness for acquired brain injuries. We believe everybody deserves access to opportunities to better their lives, and we look forward to working with our grant winners to bolster learning pathways for traditionally marginalised learners.

We also ‘soft-launched’ our upcoming Aspire Online platform: a one-stop learning management system (LMS) that will provide digital solutions for the modern classroom. Whether you teach face-to-face, online or in a hybrid setting, Aspire is committed to developing best-in-field resources that promote excellence and ensure all learners thrive.

Aspire Foundation: Brain Injury Matters

In 2023, Aspire Learning Resources, custodians of The Aspire Foundation, commenced tenancy within Ross House. Since joining this vibrant community, we have discovered many wonderful and critical not-for-profit organisations and initiatives within our building. It was an important decision to extend an Aspire Foundation Grant opportunity to our residents and friends within Ross House.

In June, we commenced scoping out works with Brain Injury Matters: Australia’s leading self-advocacy group for individuals with acquired brain injuries (ABI) – who share our commitment to access, opportunity and prosperity in education. We’re collaborating with BIM to raise awareness about ABI and bolster their advocacy efforts through targeted resources and promotional collateral. Together, we aim to empower more individuals to lead fulfilling lives by connecting them with essential support and resources.

Aspire Online

We are gearing up to launch Aspire Online, our latest digital education platform that empowers both learners and educators to thrive in today's dynamic landscape. Discover how our innovative digital solutions seamlessly bolt-in to your organisation's virtual learning environment, offering unparalleled flexibility, interactivity, and personalised learning options.

Our microcredentials provide a bite-sized, grounded understanding for learning looking to explore the clean and green economy, agricultural technology, and emerging technology in the care and health sectors. We’re also digitally uplifting our Individual Support catalogue for the CHC training package – ensuring our learning solutions deliver excellence in all learning environments.

Stay tuned for our upcoming online content updates, covering everything from microcredentials in emerging technologies to interactive and engaging active learning materials.

EduTECH

Aspire Learning Resources are thrilled to announce that we're silver sponsors for this year's Edutech Australia Conference on 13-14 August 2024! EduTECH is one of the largest education events in the world. It is without doubt the best-known, biggest and best quality education event in Australia and the APAC region, attended by between 10,000 – 15,000 people annually.

Their goal is to work together to elevate and lead education in Australasia by improving teaching methods and learning outcomes across all subjects. The conference demonstrates how new technologies, such as robotics, VR, AR, drones, 3D printing, data analysis and AI, can be integrated into mainstream learning. Additionally, EduTECH focuses on enhancing STEM education and offering equal opportunities for regional schools to attend EduTECH by providing discounted tickets and fostering a national culture of lifelong learning.

Join us at this event for a unique opportunity to explore cutting-edge edtech, connect with industry leaders and gain insights to transform education to develop skills that will power Australia's economy into the future.
